We are not alone in seeing a relationship between these two professionals. Many SG-1 fans see a warm and growing friendship between the CMO of SGC and SG1's Daniel Jackson. In the beginning Daniel was still in love with his missing wife, Shar'e. His mission was to find her and bring her home to Abydos. Shar'e's death in Forever and a Day ended that. With the exception of Shyla in Need (and we can attribute that to the effects of the sarcophagus) Daniel showed no interest in any other women. Hathor doesn't count, she bewitched him and then to be blunt, raped him. Shortly after Shar'e died he became involved with Linea in Past & Present, a relationship doomed to failure. Freya, the human host of the To'kra Anise was interested in him, but her Goua'ld wanted Jack. Lucky for TPTB came to their senses and dumped that character.

Janet Fraiser is the CMO of SGC and a single mom with no love life! She divorced her husband sometime before her assignment to the SGC. Her daughter Cassie is an alien child who was the sole survivor of a Goua'ld attack on her planet in Singularity. During that episode, we saw Daniel Jackson bond with the child. Janet is a close to friend to all of the members of SG1 as well as the person responsible for their health.

We first noticed the sparks between Daniel & Janet in Upgrades. She didn't let Anise anywhere near Daniel. While Anise applied the sensors to Jack, Janet did the honors herself in Daniel's case. You go girl! In 2010 there was a teeny hint that over the years the relationship between these two professionals had deepened into something more than friendship.
